Itinerary

Day 1: Airport ( CMB ) > Pinnawala > Kandy

You will be warmly welcomed by our representative on arrival and will be transfer to Kandy via Pinnawala,

Freshen up @ Pinnawala

Pinnawala Elephants Orphanage.

Here you will witness baby elephants being fed by a feeding bottle as soon as you enter. This is a lovely site for tourists. This elephant orphanage also houses the crippled elephants that can’t take care of themselves. Special mahouts are trained to take care of these ‘gentle giants’ who are sometimes orphaned. Witness as these beautiful creatures are fed at 9.15am, 13.15pm or when they are bathed – twice a day at 10.00am and 02.00pm respectively. This is an experience that is sure to leave you mesmerized for a life time!

Reach to the Kandy

Kandy

Historical records suggest that Kandy was first established by the King Wickramabahu (1357-1374 CE) near the Watapuluwa area, north of the present city, and it was named Senkadagalapura at the time, although some scholars suggest the name ‘Katubulu Nuwara’ may also have been used. The origin of the more popular name for the city, Senkadagala, could have been from a number of sources. These include naming it after a brahmin named Senkanda who lived in a cave near the city, after a queen of King Wickramabahu named Senkanda or after a coloured stone named Senkadagala.

Day 2: Kandy > Ramboda > Nuwaraeliya

After having breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, you will then be transfer to Nuwaraeliya via Ramboda,

Reach to Nuwaraeliya

Once called, Little England, nestling at the foot of Sri Lankas tallest mountain Pidurutalagala, is Nuwara Eliya, the islands most elevated town and home to some of the best tea plantations in the world. Surrounded by wooded mountains and its picturesque lake, its cold temperatures call for sweaters, log fires and blankets, a pleasant contrast to the islands otherwise hot and steamy tropical weather. In terms of entertainment it is home to the famed Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and Race Course. During the season in April it attracts visitors from within the country and overseas and the town turns in to a hub of activity with its local Derby and motor races. It is the perfect base for hikes, picnics and trout fishing in the surrounding lakes and rivers.

Day 3: Nuwaraeliya > Kitulgala > Bentota

After having breakfast at the hotel in Nuwaraeliya, you will then be transfer to Bentota via Kitulgala,

winning movie – ‘Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed.

Bentota is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka and is known for the romantic settings carved by both the river and ocean. Take a quick dip in the ocean or enjoy some amazing water sports such as jet skiing, surfing, diving or even body boarding. Day 4: Bentota Sightseeing & Relax at the Beach Resort

After breakfast you will proceed to witness Bentota sightseeing.

Leisurely strolling on the Golden Beaches enthralled in the magical atmosphere. Lazing on a Sun deck reading a book of your choice, and sipping a cool fresh tropical fruit drink of pineapple, Mango, Banana. Water skiing, Wind Surfing, Snorkeling or cutting through the choppy on a jet water scooter and much
more. In Kosgoda, you will visit the turtle hatchery which is operated by the Wild Life Protection Society in Sri Lanka. Several turtle species are protected at this hatchery, one of the main and most important ones being the hawksbill turtle. Their eggs are said to be left uncovered, scattered all over the coast, unprotected from harm’s way, and fishermen bring them into the hatchery in order to save and protect them. The hatchery has been able to release over 100 baby turtles into the sea in the last 2 years since they opened.

You could even go on a Boat Ride in the Madu River. The Madu River is a shallow body of water that enters the sea at Balapitiya. During the river safari, you will visit the rural villages in the vicinity where you will also have a chance witness a cinnamon plantation.
